TESTIMONIALS FROM OUR CLIENTS
To Whom it May Concern:
Recently a valve on the boiler on the ground floor of my son's summer home let go, that caused extensive damage that the entire first floor, ceilings, walls, trim and floors, had to be repaired.
Fortunately I knew John Denison, one of Viking's crew, and he and Tony came on the scene and immediately took steps to remedy the damage. They gave me a detailed estimate of the work to be done, worked with the insurance adjuster, and got the work done as promised, on schedule and on budget.
I have been a builder of custom homes myself and was very impressed with the pleasant attitude and the quality of the work done by all the crews. Would recommend Viking to anyone whose home needs repair or restoration.

To the Viking Restoration Staff:
It is difficult for us to express how much gratitude we have for Tony Christensen and Viking Restoration. Tony helped us every step of the way through one of the most difficult times of our lives.
One Sunday afternoon last July, as we were preparing to return home from our cottage in Ellsworth, we received a frantic call from a neighbor. Lightening had hit the second floor of our house. The Cape Elizabeth fire department was there trying to extinguish the fire. Needless to say, the 2.5 hour ride home took forever. During that time we contacted our insurance company. The claims adjuster gave us a short list of restoration contractors we could contact. Thank God we chose Tony. We were able to reach him, and Tony said he and his crew would be at our house when we arrive - no hesitation on a Sunday afternoon in mid-July.
When we arrived, the fire department had extinguished the fire and saved most of our possessions. However, there was a gaping hole in the roof and rain was pouring in. They did not have the resources to cover the hole. Luckily, Viking Restoration did. Tony and his crew worked into the night and in a ceaseless downpour to secure a huge tarp over the roof to prevent further damage to the house.
Monday morning, we realized the extent of the damage, and it was immense. In addition to the gaping hole in the roof, water damage had destroyed the interior of one end of the house and smoke damage occurred throughout. We sat at our kitchen table with Tony. His main objective was to reassure us that our house could be and would be restored to its original condition. Tony patiently walked us through the process, working with the insurance company and Viking Restoration.
Tony had a very good relationship with our insurance company, which was built on trust from multiple past projects. It was clear from the first day that both Viking Restoration and Hanover were on the same page with our best interest being the top priority. Because of their trust in Tony, Hanover never questioned his estimates and recommendations.
Tony set high expectations for his work product and communicated these expectations to his crew and subcontractors. Tony and his crew are highly professional, but at the same time very compassionate and personable. They always understood the stress we were facing and helped us every way they could During the first few days, his crew packed our belongings and moved them to storage or our temporary housing. They then removed everything in the house that was damaged so that the restoration work could begin.
To assess the scope of the project, Tony went over every inch of the house. He submitted an extensive list of repairs and replacements to Hanover. He set realistic timeframes and stayed on schedule throughout the whole restoration. Tony was always accessible to us. If he couldn't pick up his cell phone when we called, he returned it promptly.
Almost 20 years earlier, we had our house built. We knew that the process of building a house could strain your relationship with the contractor. As a result of this fire, the restoration was like building a new home in many ways, except our relationship with Tony only got stronger. He was just as excited as we were to see how well the restoration was turning out. In every decision he made, he took into account our best interests and how the results would reflect on Viking's professional reputation. The end result for us was a beautifully restored home inside and out with absolutely no evidence of the extensive damage that occurred.
Sincerely,
Bob and Lynne BealView the stages of restoration completed by Viking Restoration.
Dear Tony,
Our insurance company contacted you on our behalf after a severe thunderstorm deposited two trees across the roof of our 3-bay garage in Windsor.
Your project manager, Dan, had the trees removed and the roof covered up the same day. He did a complete evaluation of the damage which was then coordinated with our insurance company. After the "go ahead" was received, the repairs (including new roofing) were completed in a day and a half.
We could not be happier with the way in which the work was done. Your crew and project manager were most professional in the way they did their jobs, and in the way they interacted with us. The finished product exceeded our best expectations.
We would not be hesitant to either call on your services again if ever needed or recommend Viking Restoration to others.
Thank you again...
Sincerely,
Leah Moulton and Patricia Nasie
Dear Claims Manager,
This letter is written to express my complete satisfaction with Viking Restoration and the work they have done regarding the water-related damage to my property at the Mousam River Campground (Lot E8), located at West Kennebunk, ME 04094.
This company was suggested to us (John and myself) by Liberty's area claims agent, Mr Mark Hegarty (Property Loss Specialist). We did in fact, follow up and use Viking for the restoration work. An initial meeting at the site was promptly scheduled by Mark, to meet with Viking's representative Mr. Andrew Collins, at which time an assessment of the damage was made. From that initial meeting with Andrew, and previously with Mr. Hegarty, there was full cooperation with/ by all parties, and a solid commitment by Viking to undertake the work expeditiously and satisfactorily.
Viking's subs and their in-house crew did a great job on all phases of the restoration work. All parties (supervisors), and particularly Mr. Andrew Collins, were very responsive to our questions, and all issues raised. We can't say enough in praise of Andrew's excellent mannerism and thoroughness as he monitored the entire project's progress through its completion.
Mr. Anthony Christensen, President of Viking was also very responsive to our repair/ restoration needs. Most importantly, the work was accomplished in a timely manner.
Thank you,
Donna J. Rogers
Dear Mr. Christensen,
Just a word to let you know that I am very pleased with the result of the work your company did in connection with my fire damaged premises in York Harbor.
A special word for Matt but all of the men were very expert and cooperative and the result was first class!
Thank you,

Dear Tony:
Once again you turned a bad situation into a good one. Our house is put back to its original condition and looks beautiful. Thanks to you and the great people you brought on board to help out. Once we met up with you and your team, even in the midst of trouble, we knew that whatever problems we had (and we had some big ones) would be rectified. How right we were and how grateful we are.
Many thanks from both of us, Meg and Jim Smith
Dear Tony:
Thank you for sharing your talent and dedication with us from beginning to end in the rebuilding of our vacation house. Naturally, after a fire loss you feel disoriented and confused yet responsible for making quick decisions. You were available immediately and assured us that our home would be repaired and look even better than before the fire. You were absolutely right. Your talented team took a house in ruin and made it feel like home again. Your attention to detail shows in each room.
Thank you for helping us through a difficult project with a caring attitude and hard working staff.
Sincerely, Kevin and Tina Labadini

After writing seven books on the qualities associated with performance I thought I had seen it all. That was until I experienced the service at Viking Restoration. Courteous, Fast, Honorable, Fast, Dedicated, Fast, Professional, Fast and fifty other qualities that made me think that from sea to shining sea, no one does it better than the team at Viking Restoration. Phil Poirier should win the World’s Most Patient and Helpful Citizen award. Having received daily phone calls from us after our recent fire,he took time to explain all procedures, and was always calm, helpful, and understanding. He even helped us negotiate the insurance mess that followed the fire, cleaning and restoration. Both my husband and I are so greatful for the wonderful service and attention given us when we needed it most.
With sincere thanks, Laury Maass
Dear Mr. Christensen:
In mid 2003 one of our buildings received extensive damage from a major water leak in one of the units. The damage seriously affected three of the units in the building and presented the prospect of a complicated and costly rebuild program. After the extended cleanup several contractors were approached for quotations for rebuilding the units. The quotations received were incomplete and unclear in their scope. At this point Viking Restoration was asked to estimate the remaining reconstruction job. Your proposal was far superior to anything we had received. It was professional, realistic, accurate, and complete. It reassured us that you fully understood the scope of the work required.
Your capable crew started the rebuild work and stayed right with the job until it was complete. The project management for the contract was excellent, and the work was completed to our satisfaction in the time predicted at the cost originally estimated. The quality of the work by all the tradesmen was excellent. The follow up on the fine details at the end of the job was responsive and complete.
The outlook for full restoration of our property was very unclear until Viking Restoration’s staff took charge and went to work to rebuild our seriously damaged property. We thank you for your responsible handling of a difficult project.

To the Viking Restoration Staff:
May 31st sewage leaked into my downstairs bathroom and laundry, again in early June. The cleaning staff at Viking were efficient, capable and professional. The staff who did the restoration did a fine job of getting everything back to normal. Phil Poirier was great to work with. I wish all of you the best, and thanks for being here when I needed you.

Dear Tony,
I just wanted to take a few minutes to express my gratitude for the excellent service you and your staff provided me during our ordeal. The staff were always friendly and courteous, empathetic to my situation and very professional.
I am very impressed with the workmanship and attention to detail with all aspects of the house. Everything is beautifully done.
I had never expected to be in this situation, but having you and your guys looking out for us made the ordeal so much easier to bear. I hope that nobody has to go through this themselves, but if they do, I hope they have you to help them.
Thanks again.

To Whom It May Concern,
We are writing to this letter to express our great appreciation for the excellent service Viking Restoration has provided in restoring our home.
On June 1, 2003, our 200 year-old colonial home was severely damaged by a fire. It was our good fortune that brought Viking Restoration and Tony Christensen into our life to help us us sort out the stressful and chaotic decisions that needed to be made in reconstructing our house.
At a time when it was greatly needed, Tony's crews appeared daily, always with a smile and cheerful demeanor. As an older home, it presented many unusual problems to be solved but they were always approached and solved thoughfully and with great intelligence. With an eye for the historic nature of the house, the crews beautifully restored the molding, wainscoating, and other important details that had been damaged by the fire. They worked diligently to see that the integrity of the home was maintained and all the crews can't be praised highly enough. Special kudos to should go out to the efforts of the demolition crew, carpenters, and painters for their skill & dedication to the project.
Tony was always available to answer our questions or concerns and his advice and expertise were greatly appreciated. Our thanks should also be addressed to Phil Poirier who was our guiding light during the last phase of the reconstruction. His organization and cheerful voice made the last few hectic weeks much easier for us to survive.
This restoration was a huge undertaking but Tony made it his goal to see that we would be back in our home by Christmas. And so it was that on Christmas Eve our family moved back in to our beautiful restored home. The compassion and care for our family by all the people involved with Viking was tremendous.
We cannot sufficiently express our thanks. If anyone wants a professional and detailed restoration of their property, you cannot find a better company to accomplish this than Viking Restoration. For quality workmanship, intelligent and thoughtful people to perform this task, Viking Restoration is beyond comparison.
With appreciation,

Dear Mr. Flootweg,
I’m writing to let you know how thrilled we have been with Viking Restoration in general and Tony Christensen in particular.
Last early March we were in Florida, our pipes froze and burst here in Falmouth, Maine, leaving our house and our lives in complete chaos. My husband had learned of Viking Restoration through a connection in his workplace and happily it was Tony who came to the house in short order to assist us in our ordeal of reconstructing our home. My first impression of Tony was that he was highly organized. He was intelligent and experienced, a good listener, and he seemed to have a real sensitivity about what needed to be done. He was also aggressive but realistic with his scheduling.
After our initial meeting, things only got better. Tony brought in a wonderful crew. They were all smart, hard working, and pleasant people. The deconstruction crew worked fast and carefully. The packers packed with great care and speed. Everything was tidied up at the end of each day. At every point of the reconstruction process, we watched as all Tony’s crews became fully engaged and coordinated in the efficient and effective re-do of things. When we were at a local hotel for weeks and weeks, Tony called us nearly every morning to check in, to make sure any questions we had were answered, and to give us updated status reports. He also worked extremely well with his subcontractors who obviously respect him and the way he conducts his business.
We have worked in the past with other construction people and I can only say that there is NO COMPARISON. Tony runs a tight ship. He really cares about his clients, he gives incredible attention to detail, he remembers everything and he is just a really nice person! Whenever Hanover uses Viking Restoration, you are providing much more than just repairs to your clients. Tony can make a really unbearable situation so much more acceptable just by the way he commands respect and instills confidence. We were just so impressed with him that we felt compelled to let you know what a fine job he is doing for you. He is the best
Sincerely yours,
Penny and Fred Conti
To Whom It May Concern:
I would like to take a moment to recognize the stellar service provided to me through Anthony Christensen of Viking Restoration. My home was severely damaged when a washing machine hose burst in my upstairs bathroom. It happened when I was asleep and managed to cause damage every room in my home.
Living alone with my 7yr old daughter, it was a priority to for me to have the restoration done quickly as well as thoroughly. I needed to know that I could trust the person in charge as I don’t have the knowledge or skill to decipher if every detail is attended to. Tony was just the person I could let go to. He walked me through every phase as it occurred so I never felt like I was being hit with any surprises. He was careful not to over extend promises he couldn’t keep as far as completion estimates. I felt very comfortable at every phase with the people that were in my home that they were trustworthy. More importantly, I feel that there wasn’t a single detail left out.
Upon completion, I was again walked through all the work that had been done. The customer service provided to me was superb. I would trust Tony with the homes of my loved ones without hesitation. I feel I was treated extremely fairly and honestly. Above all else, the finished product was outstanding. My home is not only livable but restored to beautiful. Tony brought forth a level of service that was my beacon of hope during a time of tragedy.
If it is your company’s mission to target the highest levels of customer satisfaction, Anthony Christensen can only better that cause.
Sincerely,
Veronica Blake
Dear Tony, John, and Crew,
Now that things have dried out and our life is getting back to normal, I wanted to take a moment to formally thank you for all the work that Viking Restoration has done for us over the past month. From day one of the,"flood", you were on the scene making sure that things were being taken care of in a timely manner. From removing water soden carpets, installing fans and dehumidifiers, organizing all necessary repairs, moving furniture, etc. Every step was handled in with the utmost care and professionalism.
Tony, you and your crew- John, Eric, and Josh just to name a few, kept us sane throughout this entire ordeal with your extremely efficient handling of every detail. Your follow-up to questions, repairs, etc. has been absolutely outstanding! Anytime one of your crew or subcontractors showed up to take care of anything at the house, they would arrive with smiles on their face, a positive, "can do attitude", and a willing to do anything it took to get the job done correctly.
A simple thank you does not seem adequate enough for all that you and your company have done for us over the past few weeks. Please know that we feel very, very grateful and fortunate to have had Viking Restoration work with us throughout this entire ordeal.
Regards,
Susan M. Ward
Dear Tony:
A line or two to say,"thanks sincerely", for the fine quality of workmanship on my basement flood of 8/17/03 (Sunday). A real nightmare to me on that August day!
The Best of Luck, in your relatively new business! With your personal attention to details and other gestures it should grow rapidly, I feel.
Most Sincerely,
Adelaide J. McGorrill
Dear Tony,
I am writing this letter to thank you for the wonderful job you did in giving us back our condominium. The water damage was not a welcome sight to us again. Unfortunately this has happened to us several times, but the difference this time was you and your wonderful crew. You helped to make a horrible situation bearable.
It is very difficult for my sister and I to get around and you we were able to pick out things we wanted through the internet and that saved us time and the hardship of getting to the stores. You also answered all my calls and e-mails in a timely manner. Everything you promised to do you did and did well. Your crew, especially Chuck, were so great to work with and did a fantastic job.
I would and have highly recommended you to anyone that needs to have any restoration done.
Again, thanks for everything.
Sincerely,
Janet Steeves and Carol Scurini
Dear Mr. Christensen,
I am writing to you as a grateful customer of Viking Restoration. As you are aware my home suffered from water damages due to a slow leak from my furnace. I am a widow and the whole repair process was really quite overwhelming to me. Damages were to my kitchen, den, and living room….this is about 75% of my home. I am retired and spend a great deal of time in my home. I put off making the repairs due to the amount of disruption it would cause my life.
This is why I am so grateful for the work accomplished by Viking Restoration. Not only were your workers timely and efficient, they were also friendly and professional. he repair process extended over a number of days; but every day my home was cleaned from top to bottom so I was able to continue residing in a livable environment. Your workers and yourself were very understanding of my anxieties and the work that was accomplished far exceeded my expectations.
As you are aware my daughter is an insurance adjuster. She too was very impressed with the repair process and everything was done under her close scrutiny.
Please use this letter in any way that would help your business. I would definitely recommend Viking Restoration to anyone in need of repairs.
If I can help you in anyway please do not hesitate to contact me,
I wish only the best for you,
Mary Mercier
